Room 9 had a awesome day with Miss Corbett, I hope you enjoy this Animoto.

Our days with Miss Corbett.

Hi, today we had Miss Corbett as our teacher and she told us that her smarty pants younger sister and that she is studying to become an Architect. We had to measure all the objects in Room 9 to learn about position and then scale it down from 1.5 metres to 150 centimetres to 15 centimetres  We measured the objects length and width. Miss Corbett said that every house there is a plan, map and she told us about dimensions.

Our Squash Lesson By Asmah

Hi, this is a photo of Leila and Candice  playing Squash. Squash is sort of like Tennis, but the difference is that you still play with two players and when you serve, your serve has to be above the second line and below the top line. The rules are: you are not allowed to hit the ball twice in a row. You can hit it after the ball has bounced once or on the full. If the ball has bounced twice and you haven`t hit you`re out ( you lose). Room 9 had fun and we are going to be learning more skills today.

My Portrait By Asmah

This a portrait of myself which I drew. First Room 9`s teacher Mrs Anderson took a picture of ourselves and she printed the pictures and gave them to us. Than we used vivds to colour the places which were dark and light which were the shadows. After that each person made a wordle and Mrs Anderson printed them out too. We traced the picture of ourselves onto the wordles with our pencils  Once we finished tracing we traced the picture of ourselves on the wordle with the vivid.  I hope you enjoy drawing your portrait. Please leave a comment.

My Information Report By Asmah.

Vietnam War

Did you know that in the Vietnam War south Vietnamese used a chemical called Agent Orange that took out the vegetation out of plants, trees etc.
The youngest soldier to be killed was 16 years old and the oldest soldier killed was 62 years old. The meaning of war is it is legalised violence between two or more countries.

The war started by North Vietnam being communist and South Vietnam being relaxed and wore jeans and smoked cigarettes. So North Vietnam wanted South Vietnam to be like them and South Vietnam didn't wanted it. Their disagreeing started a war. The war started in 1957 and it involved:
Viet Cong - North Vietnam. Allied troops- South Vietnam, Australia, USA, South Korea and New Zealand.

During the war  a weapon called Agent Orange, which took out all the vegetation out of plants, trees etc. So it made it hard for the North  Vietnamese to hide in the jungles.

The last of the American soldiers left in 1973 and the war kept going until 1975 and that is when, North Vietnam invaded South Vietnam and the South Vietnam surrendered to the North Vietnam.

After the war had finished lots of villages were destroyed and people lived in poverty and people started to slowly die because of the Agent Orange. During the war the agent Orange had gone into crops and people didn't know that it was in it. It started to effect people 20 years after the war.

The Vietnam War was the longest war that USA has taken part in.

This is my information report about the Vietnam War. Did you know that Vietnam War took place in Vietnam, Asia. I hope you too can learn something with my report and please leave a comment. Thank you.
